This painting was inspired after my friend's birthday. I backpacked ten miles for the first time in my life and needed to come back the next day alone. I was exhausted and asked a passing hiker how much further. He told me that once I see the ocean, I was on the final stretch. This painting depicts that moment and the hope just around the bend.
